I didn't feel like running today. My quads, shoulders, and biceps were sore. It was hot outside. Excuses, excuses, excuses. I decided to give it a try. I told myself I would be happy if I was able to get 4 miles done.
The goal was to keep my HR down. If I could do that, I knew I would stand a chance.
Success! I made it 6 miles but that is not why I said success. There are two reasons I am really happy with my run. You should be able to figure out one of the reasons but looking a my stats below. The other reason is not in the stats.
9:06 HR 129.3 that's really good for 91 F but check out my training effect (TE). It is 2.2. Usually a run at that pace in this temperature (when I am not sore) will get me 4!
The other reason is my Garmin 620 said I need a 12 hour recovery time. I have never seen it give me less than 30+ hours recovery time.
